It's so hard to find beauty in the little things we do every day.
Though this is hard to admit, things like smart phones have taken the joy out of making things step-by-step. It's all so easy, which doesn't necessarily mean better. Sometimes, I feel like "the easy way" is as if the internet were making something for you...am I really writing these blog posts? Or that chapter? Or sharing this story?
I just find it really sad that we do things and then forget them, when it's all so easy.
Just like one blog post a year, if a year's worth of thought were put into it, could be so much better than one thrown together in an hour.
A chapter I write by hand reads better than something I speed-type on the computer.
There can be beauty in doing things without thinking about it...but so often we don't think about it anymore at all.
I used to think I overthink things, but do I?
